France visa requirements

Non EU nationals wishing to live and work in France must apply for a residence (carte de sejour) and work permit. Work permits must be applied for by the employer.  There is currently no Working Holiday Visa programme available to Japanese citizens.   Nationals of certain countries can visit France for up to three months without a visa, these are listed at the website of the French Ministry Of Foreign Affairs.
