INTERNATIONAL YOUTH TRAVEL CARD

Not a student? Don't worry!

If you are 25 years old or younger, the IYTC opens the door to thousands of discounts both at home and overseas.

You'll save money on flights, accommodation, communications, museums, food, clothes, movies and nightclubs... you name it !

If you want to buy an IYTC card we will need:

Passport copy
The copy of your proof of age – must be under 26 years (e.g. passport, drivers license or birth certificate)
A photograph(3.3cm x 2.8cm)
Application form (available online)
Payment of JPY 1,430

 

【How to apply】
Visit the Office
Bring all the above documentation plus payment of JPY 1,430 and you can purchase your card on the spot.
By Post
Send all the documetation plus total payment of JPY1,700 (included card payment JPY 1,430, postage fee JPY 270, and tax) by registered mail (Genkin-Kakitome).

【When does the card expire?】
Your card expires one year from the date of issue, or on your 26th birthday, whichever comes first!

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for an IYTC, you must be aged between 12 and 25 (inclusive) at the time of purchase.  You will need to show us proof of your date of birth with a drivers license, passport or birth certificate.
